Cruelty-Free Living Take the Cruelty-Free Pledge! The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics’ (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program is urging consumers to make a difference for animals by making a New Year’s resolution to pledge to go cruelty-free in 2009! With more than 200 cosmetic, personal care and household product companies carrying the Leaping Bunny logo, it is easier than ever to find a wide range of quality, cruelty-free products. NEAVS is a founding member of CCIC. The Leaping Bunny Program is the only cruelty-free certification program that ensures not only that the companies are free of new animal testing at every stage of product development, but ALSO that their ingredients - where most animal testing occurs - are also cruelty-free. By signing the pledge you help: make our collective voices stronger; provide greater incentive for more companies to go cruelty-free; and, save hundreds of thousands of animals, including rabbits, mice, and rats, from suffering and death in unnecessary product testing.   The Cruelty-Free Pledge As a compassionate consumer, I pledge to only purchase cosmetic, personal care, and /or household products from companies that do not test finished products, ingredients, or formulations on animals.
