ESEC
The Ethical Science and Education Coalition (ESEC) was founded
in 1991 to facilitate the implementation of student "choice"
policies in elementary and secondary schools. These policies
protect students from academic penalty when they do not wish
to participate in specimen dissection labs.
ESEC’s current mission as the educational affiliate of the
New England Anti-Vivisection Society, is to replace the harmful
use of animals at all levels of education and professional
training.

|
ESEC offers a variety of services to support the use of humane
alternatives to traditional dissection in classrooms including:
- Education Specialist to provide alternatives for students
tailored to meet the learning objectives of the teacher.
- Information on funding available for alternatives, including
loan
libraries and pilot program grants.
