About ESEC

ESEC's Mission

The Ethical Science and Education Coalition (ESEC), the educational affiliate of the New England Anti-Vivisection Society, works to ensure that students' rights to a quality education are not compromised by academic threat, punishment or failure because of their ethical choice not to harm animals.

ESEC provides educators and students at all levels, and parents and other concerned citizens with information on state-of-the-art options to replace the detrimental use of animals in science and professional education and training.

ESEC maintains a free loan program of non-animal alternatives, conducts workshops for educators, and counsels students and parents about issues surrounding the use of animals in education.

ESEC's primary goals are: to protect students' rights not to harm animals as part of their education or training; and to guarantee students superior educational options to the detrimental use of animals.
