Oppose Animal Cloning – Write to the FDA Today!
Animal cloning is cruel and unnecessary and another example of bad science – science that serves no one. In addition to the ethical concerns that cloning raises, there is scientific evidence that cloning poses serious risks to animals, including birth defects, painful disease, and premature death. In spite of this, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is moving towards allowing milk and meat from animal clones and their offspring into the food supply – without labeling it.
The FDA needs to hear your opposition to cloning animals for food. Send your letter now – the comment period closes May 3!

Dear Commissioner Von Eschenbach,
Regarding the FDA's Draft Animal Cloning Risk Assessment (Docket # 2003N-0573), I am writing to submit my comments about the significant welfare problems that plague cloned animals. Scientific evidence consistently shows that the animals involved in the cloning process suffer from highly alarming rates of health problems, birth defects and death.
Cloned foods sold to the public must be clearly labeled as such so that people can choose to avoid supporting a practice that is cruel, unethical, and unnecessary.
Cloning is an experimental technology that causes severe animal suffering and is opposed by most consumers. Please reconsider your recommendations and keep food from cloned animals and their offspring off our grocery store shelves.
Sincerely,
