Supporting Tsunami
Relief
While NEAVS is committed exclusively to animals in laboratories
and science education, there are catastrophic events on the world
stage that demand our support. We felt that responsibility when
the Twin Towers were struck on September 11, 2001, leaving companion
and homeless animals without care, taxing local shelters. We pitched
in during the Florida hurricanes, helping displaced animals and
hard-hit sanctuaries. Now, we are helping provide veterinary care
and/or husbandry for animals affected by the tsunami through a substantial
donation to Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights who sent
vets to affected areas.
Our hearts go out to all the tsunami victims, both human and non-human.
We hope that our contribution will help ease their suffering and
speed recovery.
