A Gift from Gene Rayburn

(Spring 2000) — Actor Gene Rayburn Gene Rayburn, the genial game show host and actor, died Nov. 29 at his daughter's home in Massachusetts. Rayburn, who gave so much happiness to so many, also gave a final and lasting gift to the animals, requesting that gifts in his memory be directed to NEAVS.

A veteran of a half-dozen game shows, as well as TV and radio talk shows, musicals and a six-year stint as sidekick to Steve Allen on the Tonight Show, Rayburn was one of the country's most popular daytime TV personalities.

Daughter Lyn Rayburn, a supporter of NEAVS and a current member of the Grey2K coalition, was pleased to honor her father's memory with contributions to NEAVS. Lynne added that her father was always very supportive of her animal right's convictions and work. If you would like to find out about remembering NEAVS in your will or arranging for a bequest, please contact the NEAVS Development Department at 617-523-6020 x 25.
