Congratulations Are in Order (Spring 2000) — The European Network of Individuals and Campaigns for Humane Education (EuroNICHE) has been awarded the prestigious 1999 Egon Naef Prize for Alternatives. EuroNICHE is a non-profit, charitable network of students and teachers working to introduce educational alternatives to harmful animal use. EuroNICHE recently produced a multi-language video that is being shown across Europe, Australia, Japan and the U. S., showing the latest in cruelty-free alternatives which NEAVS helped fund. Nick Jukes, EuroNICHE coordinator, wrote to notify NEAVS of the award, adding "... very many thanks for your part in supporting the work of EuroNICHE and for participating in the campaign for a high quality, humane education."
