NEAVS Advisory Board Member Writes Rattling Good Read

(Spring 2000) — NEAVS Advisory Board member Steven M. Wise, Esq., has written a compelling new book called Rattling the Cage: Toward Legal Rights for Animals. Wise, whom USA Today describes as "the country's best-known animal lawyer," presents a forceful argument for extending basic legal rights to animals, beginning with chimpanzees and bonobos. Dr. Jane Goodall's foreword describes Wise's book as, "... the animals' Magna Carta, Declaration of Independence and Universal Declaration of Rights, all in one."

Rattling the Cage retails for $25.00 and is published by Perseus Books. Copies may be taken out on loan from the NEAVS Resource Center by contacting NEAVS.
