Title

(Fall 2001)—The Dissection Choice bill’s lead sponsor, Representative Louis L. Kafka, reports that Chairman Larkin and the Education Committee have moved our bill favorably out of Committee. Formerly H. 1360, “Dissection Choice,” has been renumbered (a common practice on the Hill) and is now H. 4409. The bill needs your immediate help to continue on its path to the Governor’s desk, so please act NOW.

It is nothing short of a “crime” that students of conscience have to wait this long for the support they deserve. Today’s legislators, spurred on by the hard work of Rep. Kafka and the 39 other bipartisan supporters, are trying to see to it that this is the year for dissection choice in Massachusetts.

Please help them help animals and help compassionate students. The bill will spare animals cruel deaths and help keep caring students in science by giving them the right to study in a compassionate way.

Contact your state senator and representative and politely request that they vote H. 4409 the Dissection Choice Act into law.

Find legislative contact information at: www.vote-smart.org or www.magnet.state.ma.us or call your city or town hall directly.

The phone number for the State House is 617-722-2000.

The following are cosponsors of H. 4409. Please take a moment and commend them for their compassion and enlightened attitudes:
